Aloo Gobi

Aloo Gobi is a super easy, delicious and classic dry Indian dish of potatoes and cauliflower. With Tadka House's Tadka, it can be prepared within 15 mins. Aloo Gobi can be served on its own with rotis (chapatis), or can be served along daal (lentils).


Tadka House - Tadka (Onion only) 1 pack
Cumins seed 1 teaspoon
Cauliflower 1 medium
Potatoes 2 medium
Turmeric 1 teaspoon
Garam Masala 1 teaspoon
Deggi Mirch (Paprika Powder) 1/2 teaspoon
Olive oil 1 teaspoon
Salt To taste
Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder 1/4 teaspoon
Fresh Coriander Handful


Step 1

Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Keep stirring for few seconds.

Step 2

Just then, add Tadka House tadka and mix well. Tip: Just before you starting to cook, take out our tadka from the freezer and put it in a hot water bowl to make soft to use.

Step 3

Add turmeric powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder , chilli powder and salt. Stir it for few minutes.

Step 4

Give the veggies a good wash and put them inside. Sprinkle few drops of water with your hands and cover it with a lid and let it cook for 3 minutes on high flame.

Step 5

Now simmer the cooker and cook it for another 10 minutes.

Step 6

Put the flame on high and cook it for a minute and turn off the flame. Make sure you don't open it immediately. Let it cool down for 5 minutes and your crunchy munchy aalo gobi is ready to eat.

Step 7

Garnish it with fresh Coriander if you have any.
